Province Lake Golf & Resort is the collection of four properties centered around the 980-acre Province Lake. The lake and the surrounding properties are located along the New Hampshire – Maine border in the towns of Effingham and Wakefield, New Hampshire, as well as Parsonsfield, ME. Province Lake Golf is an 18 hole golf course featuring lake views on the historic front 9 and mountain views on the back 9. The course’s clubhouse was constructed in 2020 featuring a wraparound veranda overlooking the course and the lake. Steps down Mountain Road from the clubhouse is the Carriage House Bistro and Tavern, serving homemade dishes and crafted cocktails. Edgelake Farm is an idyllic farmhouse with the barn serving as an event space perfect for hosting weddings, parties, and corporate events from 25 to 250 attendees. In addition, the Wakefield Inn, located 9 miles south of Province Lake in the Wakefield Village Historic District, features seven guest rooms, and The Speakeasy Restaurant, complete with a speakeasy bar. Surrounded by 19th century homes and overlooking the rolling countryside, the inn exemplifies quaint rural New England. The resort interconnects all these respective properties and businesses under one interconnected umbrella, aiming to give guests everything they could want out of a Lakes Region getaway. Province Lake Golf & Resort is truly one of a kind with its combination of golf, lakeside amenities, onsite food and lodging, and its stunning natural beauty.

The Difference

Province Lake Golf & Resort is the only resort in the Lakes Region offering both golf and lake amenities onsite. At PLR, guests can stay, golf, swim, boat, and eat without leaving the property. Playing at any other nearby golf course requires guests to leave their lakefront accommodations. With South Beach on Province Lake located steps from the golf course, the resort is uniquely suited to entertain golfers and their families. With two restaurants and ample lodging, guests are able to enjoy all they could want in a Lakes Region getaway on campus.
