About PLG&R
Province Lake Golf & Resort is the only resort in the Lakes Region offering both golf and lake amenities onsite. At PLG&R, guests can stay, golf, swim, boat, and eat without leaving the property. The resort is the collection of four properties centered around the 980-acre Province Lake and our 18 hole Golf Course. The resort is located along the New Hampshire – Maine border in the towns of Effingham and Wakefield, New Hampshire, as well as Parsonsfield, ME. With South Beach on Province Lake located steps from the golf course, the resort is uniquely suited to entertain golfers and their families. With two restaurants and 7 guest rooms across two properties, guests are able to enjoy all they could want in a Lake Region getaway on campus. Province Lake Golf is a renowned 18 hole golf course with views of Province Lake on the front 9 and mountain views on the back. PLG also has a full driving range and two practice putting greens. With waterfront access to Province Lake, guests can spend the day swimming and relaxing on the shores of this hidden gem. South Beach features stunning views of Green Mountain, Mount Shaw, Whiteface and Passaconaway in the White Mountains to the north.

The Wakefield Inn, located 9 miles south of Province Lake in the Wakefield Village Historic District, features seven guest rooms in a quaint Bed & Breakfast. Surrounded by 19th century homes and overlooking the rolling countryside, the inn exemplifies the charm of rural New England. In addition, four lodging units are available on campus.

Province Lake Resort features a boutique style fitness center in the lower level of the clubhouse. Our gym is complete with treadmills, dumbbells, cables, and resistance bands. Annual fitness center memberships are available for $300. In addition, massages by a licensed massage therapist are available for booking.
